Hi All,

Just picking brains please, and wondered if anyone knows the difference in terms of suspension and gearbox between the Speed and Supersports? I haven't driven one yet so any information comparing the two will be great thanks.

I'm looking at 2010-12 models and will be coming from a Nissan GT-R with 650 bhp, bored of them after 8 years and now looking for something with more of a luxury interior.

I need a firm ride and most importantly quick gear changes, I only use the paddles and don't like driving in auto - too boring, I understand the original GT's are very slow on the paddle changes, but the Supersports is a lot better but obviously not DCT quick.

Does the Speed share the same suspension set up as the Supersports? Same steering? Same gearbox? Do they have the same exhaust?

Looking at the interiors, I would pick a Speed with cream leather and piano black fascia, I'm a sucker for that look. But if the Speed has a lesser gearbox and slightly sloppy suspension I would need a Supersports. I like the carbon fibre but they all seem to have black leather not cream, and it just doesn't look as wow as the Speed interior.

One other thing I noticed is that the paddles appear to be too far away from the steering wheel on the Supersports, are they the same on the Speed?

Any replies appreciated, thanks smile

I Px'ed by 2010 Continental GT Speed (51 Series) for a Ferrari California. I had Larini switchable sports exhaust fitted and secondary de-cat and re-mapped to 705BHP. The 0 - 60 is at the 4 second mark. The car is immaculate. PM me if you want more info.
