All, is anyone familiar with the omitec system. I'm trying to get the alarm module to sync with key fobs on a 2003 Arnage and 1998 Brooklands. In both cases, I get a communication error when trying to access the alarm modules. I also tested on a 96 Continental R.

The cars do start and run. I had a friend come by with a different diagnostic tool and got the same result. Is there a process I need to follow (stand on one leg, hold the scanner upside down etc) for the alarm system to talk to the scanner?

Any thoughts would be gratefully appreciated.

Are you trying to realign alarm fobs using Bentley scan tool? If so is the alarm going off? I’ve not done one for a while but they can be temperamental, and if the alarm is sounding then you need to try and catch it between cycles to establish comms.

This is correct, I tried to get into the security system on a 2003, 98 and 96 without success. The alarm was going off on in the 03 Arnage and the 98 Brooklands but not in the 96 as there is already a fob and it's aligned. On the brooklands, i followed the procedure of closing all the doors, bonnet and boot and waiting until the alarm goes off. No luck.

I had a guy in the RROC club swing by who was a tech at Rolls Royce and Bentley for many years. He was not able to make it work with his own tool either.

I'll keep trying
