Not to be confused with the Classics!!🙂

What’s the current view on these, value and running costs wise??

I assume they are prone to head gasket issues - what’s the cost of rectification?

Are much better(worse?) are the later zytec engined cars?

Any red flags I should look for?

Any advice, tips very welcome!!

Thanks

Mike

lovely cars.

value: either its a well cared for 'used' classic with high mileage which on auctions and auction sites i have seen them end on £18+k . the other end are cars with low mileage and are more suited to collectors/garge queens £40k+

running costs can be high due to front and rear hydro suspension set up, at this age corrosion and its repair, you WILL need someone who knows these cars.

head gasket not know to be an issue with earlier cars. i cannot comment on cars after 1994.
cost of gasket rectification if needed average £5000 as you will possibly renew parts while you are in there.

later cars did get more power and ride quality.

i have Bentleys that have needed very little doing and i have had some that have almost destroyed me even though they were looked after.
