Bentley GTC water in door pocket

Just went to test drive a 2008 Bentley Continental GT convertible. The car is immaculate but it had quite a bit of water sitting in the passenger door pocket and the carpet between the door and the seat was wet too. The rest of the footwell was dry.

The seller told me the car had just been washed and the water ingress was due to pressure washing.

Does that make sense?

Sounds like the water barrier in the door is leaking. Easy enough to fix (aside from having to take the door apart to do it).

Broken water barrier could explain the wet carpet between door and seat but I can't see how it would fill the door pocket ...
