Been hankering after a gtc for a while.

Can easily stretch to a 2008/9 but if I want to go for the newer shape (2012+) would probably need to sell another one of the toys!

Is there much difference ? Is the £30+k difference really worth it ?

Any feedback very welcome

Thanks

Hi,there are subtle advantages with the first generation pre 12 cars, on the 6 litre it has a six speed gearbox and makes a wonderful throaty noise around 1800 rpm on a light throttle as opposed to the later cars with a 8 speeder. also the music system has a better quality sound.the standard music on the later cars is very ordinary..the Naim upgrade is good but it is a £5000 extra so few have this..also the earlier cars have a lovely leathery smell that the later ones do not have as different leather now.. the second gen 12+ cars have a slightly sharper look, and a much improved satnav system..i have had my 09 model etc for 8 years and i know i should change it but even time i drive it i kinda think why cos' it is so nice..if it was going to a good home i might sell it..sounds stupid i know but it's sort of like your favourite pair of old shoes, you know you need a new pair, but you keep wearing the old ones!! Anthracite metallic, mulliner, 55 000 miles excellent throughout, FSH main dealer only..let me know if you might be interested.. Harry

I have a 2008 GT Speed and a 2014 Flying Spur. The leather smell in the 2008 is totally missing in the 2014. The 2008 GT and the 2014 Flying Spur drive completely different, but both are wonderful driving experiences. Go drive both generations of these cars and then you can make the decision on what one you like best. I like both of mine.

I also had a 2015 Flying Spur which i used as a daily driver for a year and then sold..whilst basically very nice it is less than inspiring. very ordinary to live with and little character..had anAudi 2013 A8 before and have now bought another [2016] and seem much happier every day, for less than half the money!! strange but true..Harry.
