Bentley Turbo 97 occasional ‘warning’ beep

Hi,

I have owned my Bentley Turbo for 3 months now and am enjoying it immensely. Every now and then, seemingly randomly, there is a single quite low pitched beep. It feels like it’s intended to be a warning of some kind but there isn’t a pattern to when it happens. Anyone got a clue what it might be?

Is it the same beep as when you lock/unlock it?

I seem to remember mine doing this when the alarm ECU was playing up and had to be replaced. It began with the occasional beep, then the doors would lock on their own at the same time as the beep. It would happen whether the car was moving or stationary.

Whatever you do, don't leave the key in it and close all the doors, just in case....
