bentley v8 2018 - "brake wear" on display, only first start

hi all

my bentley v8 2013 every day now states "brake wear" on its initial startup in morning

however, if i stop the car and start it again, ie popping into a shop, it will not show itself again?


All my pads have loads left on them, and it had a full bentley health check 3 weeks ago with no issues raised.



Im wondering what could cause this? could it possibly be the handbrake pad or something strange,, or just an electrical gremlin
