Continental GTC leaking tonneau

I recently found that water was leaking into the rear of my 2006 GTC. On investigation, the lining under the tonneau was sodden, with mould growing on it. I am almost certain that the water was coming in through the join between the metal tonneau panel and the trim containing the high level brake light. I removed the trim (thanks for using cheap rusty bolts and fasteneings, Bentley) and found that the seal was practically non-existent. I have now put a bead of silicone sealant between the trim and the bodywork. I have had no recurrence of water ingress since and hope that I have fixed the problem.

Anyone had any similar issues?
