My Bentley continental is stuck in park
Battery life is good on both, always on trickle charge
I don’t use very often maybe 2000miles each year

I don't know the specifics of those, but my first thought would be the switch to detect the brake pedal being pressed is dead, or there's an issue with the solenoid for holding it locked in park.

Almost all cars have a hidden button somewhere (behind a removable trim piece etc) to manually override this, see if there's something in your owner's manual telling you?
