Hi can any one help rear suspension problem. After about a week of being parked in the garage the rear of the car sinks to one side it has air struts I can't see any rips in the strutcover but don't want to buy this part if this is not the problem as it is very expensive

Hi two possibilities, a leak in one of the pipes supplying air from the compressor to the shock or more likely the top shock seal is corroded , unfortunately the seal is not something that can be replaced other than by removing the whole shock and fitting a new one. You can get a remanufactured shock with an good guarantee from Aerosus or Arnott but I'm afraid you will be looking at about £860inc vat for the shock and maybe an 60 to 90 minutes to remove the old and fit the new one. I had and identical problem on mine and this was the only fix I'm afraid.

How long does it take to leak down? If it's weeks vs a day or hours. Don't sweat it.

Hi

Had similar with my front Left. Do you get a warning on the dash ?

Mine was a fault of the air monitor on that corner. My man tried to reset the system to trick it but alas the part was broke. Had to get a replacement.
