New 2018 Bentley GT - Any Owners here?
Discussion
I was lent a new Continental for 24 hours while my 2016 GT V8 S was being serviced, obviously not long enough to master the infotainment system and switchery. My first impression was how modern the high tech interior felt. The ride seemed very similar to my car, but on poor undulating surfaces the lighter steering felt less secure. The drive train/W12 is silky smooth and the exhaust noise when accelerating sounded like a loud hum compared to the sports exhaust V8 rumble in my car. I was surprised to hear some wind noise from the driver's side mirror from 70mph upwards and the odd rattle from the instrument binnacle. The istrument screen is very cluttered and has too much information to take in saley while on the move. I also prefer proper guages.
Overall I think it is a lovely car, but I am in two minds whether it is that much better than my "old" model.

I had another drive in a First Edition demo yesterday. This time I used Bentley mode and the car was transformed. The steering was much sharper and quicker to respond. The ride was pliant and only very poor road repairs/surface faults jarred the ride a bit. However, there was more road noise than in my V8 S., especially on course surfaces at speeds over 50mph., but this might partially be due to the 22" wheels. The head up display is brilliant, a real licence protector!
