Insurance bargain!
Discussion
I should state at the outset that I have no vested interest in LV insurance.
This year I have taken out a multi car policy with LV insurance - one Peugeot, one Jimny and my 2004 Continental GT 8000 miles p.a.
The premium for the Bentley was £202 with me as the main driver and my wife as a named driver (only in case of a DIRE emergency!). This includes 180 days cover for EU motoring (you don't have to pre-inform them) with the same cover as you have in the UK - fully comprehensive. There is a £140 excess on the windscreen, but that is a £1,600 item from Bentley and I've already saved £140 by not renewing with Aviva.
I'm chuffed to bits!

That sounds as if you've got a good deal there with LV.
We have Admiral multi car and while at first it seemed a reasonable deal, the prices have climbed
quite dramatically. I tried one of the search engines when the last renewal was due and could only
find sensible savings (ie with same level of protection) with a few pounds difference.
Maybe phoning these companies rather than just tapping computer keys might produce a better price?

I have just renewed my multi car with Admiral. Originally the renewal quote was £240 more than last year so I called them and asked why as there has been no claims. I also told them that I have received a quote from Direct Line but didn't disclose the figure. After a quick call they reduced the renewal premium to £94 below last years figure.... A £334 reduction from their original quote...
Out of interest, I didn't go with the cheaper quote from Direct Line because they do not insure cars that have been wrapped as a directive from their underwriters...

We had a renewal quote for our family of four cars and I thought it was excessive.Out of interest, I didn't go with the cheaper quote from Direct Line because they do not insure cars that have been wrapped as a directive from their underwriters...
I rang Admiral and we went through the individual cars and without anything radical in the way of cover, I managed to
get a requote £350 less than originally asked. It definitely pays to make "personal" contact with these companies.
I fully expect Brexit to be the next reason why premiums are going sky high.
