I need help!! took my car in for a service and was told at the end of a £1,600 bill that they didn’t have the tools to finish the job!

Who should I speak to, to resolve this and to make sure they don’t do the same to someone else ........thanks

Well that's unfortunate but not unexpected. As to the not being able to finish the job that is highly unusual as the work and bill isn't complete and should not have come up for payment until the itemized work was complete. I have had the same thing with Bentley Cambridge who gave me an estimate for £680 then the bill came up as £1400 but it was for a fix that only a main dealer could have sorted and they then needed to change all of the belts as they were worn , so kind of knew it would be quite big . What did the car go in for exactly??

A simply service and the cruise control needed sorting, they were aware of the cruise, but waitied for me to book the car in, three weeks in advance, travel 100 miles, then explain, that the tools they needed, they didn’t have !!! It’s a 3 year old “speed” not a pre war model ..the day has left me feeling so disappointed.

I’ve been waiting for new boot motor (under warranty) for my 2013 GT Speed since April.

They’re on back order apparently.

4 months and counting..... doesn’t really inspire confidence in the brand.

The dealership knew what the issues were but continued the service knowing they couldn’t finish the job ..shame on them!!!

Bentley in Crewe will know about it today, I’ll see what they have to say ........

I've had three on mine, last time it was fitted they also did a software upgrade as the hood was opening too much apparently and damaging the motor

definitely an issue for bentley

Yes a well known and common problem it seems.

I hope all parts aren’t on 4 months plus wait!

Still waiting....
