Hi All

I am about to buy my first silver spirit series 2. As I have been looking for a long time, I see the same cars for sale over many many months. This would seem to suggest the cars are very difficult to sell, even with FSH and a price around £15k. When I buy mine I don't want to be lumbared with something I cannot sell when I have had my fun. Does anyone have any experience selling a RR Spirit privately. How long did it take to sell? Did you lose money on it?

They are very difficult cars to sell unless you sell them cheaply.....bargain hard when you buy, its a buyers market, I used to sell lots of SZ series cars but no longer buy them for the above reasons

yes they are difficult to sell - lots of reasons. even here on PH, there is more love for the MX-5 than for a SS.

The problem is huge maintenance to keep them in the condition that a buyer will want. However they are great fun and will put a big smile across your face. Be careful of colour combination, as this can substantially affect saleability.

I would say go to a reputable dealer, and get a warranted car. You really don't want private seller surprises.

Do consider the Bentley, as I think these are more driver's cars, and sell easier.

Cheers!
