Heres the car I pulled the trigger on today.

Had been toying with much newer ones and the V8's but just couldn't look past the value some of the older cars offer. I've gone for a 2008...

Nice.... enjoy!

I had one of the first CGT's and loved it. I sold it after about a year to pay the ludicrous levels of Stamp Duty required to move house... I worked out with depreciation it would have been cheaper to have carpeted with Axminster the miles I did rather than drive them.

I found the Bentley to be unrelenting luxury - such a nice place to be.

Great choice. ‘08MY is a good era for the first generation GT. Enjoy

I bought the grey violet gt speed from dove house last year, very pleased with it, although I have spent a bit of money bringing it up to my standards

Overall very happy with how this one presents. Always going to be some bits and bobs to tidy on a 10 year old car but I think that's part of the fun especially on a car that feels "good value", if a Bentley can do so.

Yep I went looking for a MY08 , mine has the older style steering wheel but I didn't see the point spending a few thousand more just to get a different steering wheel, did consider MY11 mainly for improved infotainment but to be honest I never use inbuilt sat nav anyway!

Yea I already spoke to DMS about getting the remap to 690BHP angel

This cars going to be used to do the 600 mile each way trip to our place in South France so I shall just put a piece of black tape over the MPG computer. It's going to be clocking up a LOT of miles!

Cant recommend Rob enough at DMS, he remapped my GTC V8 and got 704 bhp.

The chip transforms the cars and makes them seriously rapid smile

Defo keep the warranty going if you have the option too.. Vacuum pipes can be a pain to fix.

I was thinking of getting mt 2010 GTC 'Speed' re-mapped and was hoping they could do something about the exhaust sound level. My last car was a V12 DB9 and it sounded like a V12. In comparison my W12 is a bit 'quiet'. I know, its a Bentley and not a TVR but a bit more sound presence would be great.

A remap won't change the sound, you'll want to consider a new exhaust, or maybe just mid section to delete secondary cats, or have you tried leaving valves permenantly open?
