Recommend a Pre-Purchase Inspector?

I'm starting my hunt for a CGT - for a change i'm trying not to rush it as i want to keep this car for a while so want to get the spec right from the start.
I'll be dabbling in the lower end of the market and as previously recommended with these cars - always get them insepcted!!
Therefore, are there any recommended inspectors, companies etc that i should be using to carry out a PPI? I'm guessing the run of the mill RAC/AA checks won't have the correct level of knowledge to really get under the skin of these cars?
I don't have a preference to purchase from trade or private, providing everything checks out of course, but are there any dealers you would stay away from?
There are quite a few cars in my price bracket so not going to jump on the 1st car i see, and i notice that there are cars for sale that have been listed for a good few months which means i can take my time a little more. I'm aiming for something thats been used regularly rather than something that has sat for long periods of time as the general concensous of the info i have found to date suggests these cars prefer to be used.
