Mulsanne/New Flying Spur price cross over - which one?!!

Hi All
I am considering replacing my Continental GT as a growing daughter needs more rear legroom and perhaps her own door!
I can see that the Mulsanne and the new Flying Spur have reached a point where the pricing is about the same with no major differences in mileage or age.
I know nothing of either (other than they are both very pretty/handsome) and would appreciate any thoughts about which one to go for at the circa £80 mark.
Is there some huge gulf in running costs (for example)? I will drive and be driven so interior is very important. Is the Mulsanne that much bigger than the Flying Spur (parking/maneuvering)?

Mr P! You can't mean that. The Mulsanne is an exquisite piece of design, and unfortunately the facelift has detracted from what was already damn near perfect. The Arnage is nice but the Mulsanne makes it look very old fashioned. It's not the vertical strakes, it's the superimposition of that on the matrix which is so Audi-like, the reduction of the significance of the central line by flattening the rad grille out. It's as if they are trying to look like a Rolls Royce or a Maybach which is totally wrong. Still it is a symphony in craftsmanship. However good the W12 is you have to admit the Mulsanne is better.

Mulsanne. The Spur is the objectively better car, but the increased sense of occasion the Mulsanne brings makes every journey something special.
Both are large cars, but the extra 300mm of the Mulsanne may be an issue parking.
The Spur is the obvious step from the GT for the extra space and the driving experience is similar. The Mulsanne is quite different to the GT so a test drive would be worthwhile to see if you bond with it.
Both are truely grand motor cars and neither will disappoint so a nice decision either way!

Are you now only considering purchasing the car to drive into the pool
New Swimming Pool?
I have had a Bentley and an indoor heated swimming pool.
The Bentley costs a lot less and all the family (except me) got seriously bored with the pool. We did have one alcoholic evening which culminated with friends in various improvised costumes or lack thereof in the pool.
But on balance I have had far more smiles per pound out of the Bentley

The new swimming pool is mainly for my daughter (though of course we enjoy it) and she is in it at every single opportunity. I love my Bentley (and my Aston Martin), but the pool is definitely providing more smiles per pound for her than any car would!

Don't 100% agree about the cost. Unless you're building something for the Olympics the indoor pool and the decently specced Bentley are about the same to buy. I have had a Bentley and an indoor heated swimming pool.

But the Bentley becomes boring slower and also becomes worth nothing quicker. Unfortunately when they do become boring and gradually used less then, like the boat and the foreign villa, they tend to turn into a cost centre and a back monkey.
If it was a 'one or the other' (outdoor pool v Bentley) I'd vote for the Bentley too. Pleasanter to use in the rain for a start.
