I know people sometimes say the Flying Spur is merely an elongated, 4 door, GT, but James May, for one, felt it was better than that. I'm thinking of an early one, say 2008 on. Any thoughts here?

Depends how you intend to use it. The GT is a 2 seater, perhaps 3 with the passenger seat moved forward. I've never managed 4 up in mine. I don't think it would be possible - just not enough room behind the driver. The Flying Spur gives you room for rear passengers.

Both nice cars. But if I'm 4 up, I use something else.

Actually, the alternatives that really interest me are the Continental GT and Continental R. Quite different financial, driving and mechanical characteristics. Both wonderful machines. I wonder which has the lower overall costs (i.e. including depreciation)?
