Bentley Arnage T - MY2006 onward
Discussion
Hello all,
Have been stalking arnages for some time now and have done a fair bit of research.
As I understand it there are many things that can go wrong and none of which are cheap as you would expect.
It seems that from 2006 onward the tappet chewing issue was dealt with. I prefer the updated front end anyway, so from this MY is suitable for my requirements.
I see many cars for sale at about 55k miles approx. This presumably is a means of dodging the suspension overhaul at £60k.
Am I right in thinking that this work needs to be done every 60k miles?
What is actually involved in this overhaul?
Are there any other known mainstnence issues of this type that require a known big spend?
I'll happily buy a higher mile example of about 60-70k as I believe a used car represents a better buy.

They have a very comprehensive service schedule. It should be adhered to based on mileage or time, whichever happens first. This is why often low mileage cars are a heap of problems - cars go wrong when they don't get used and maintained.
Also, people buy them who can't really afford or don't have the desire to maintain them properly. So you just need something which has been genuinely properly looked after. Unfortunately, that is probably a minority of cars.
However, I would have a look over on http://www.rollsroyceforums.com/ as it is more maintenance based than here, and you may get some more pointers.
