Hey Guys,

As you can see from the image below, my start-stop button is very worn. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best way to re-detail this and get it back to looking new?

I have found vinyl stickers for the actual button text but unsure how to get the chrome trim back into good health?

All suggestions are much appreciated.

Thank you, that's great! Do you know anywhere that explains how to remove the unit?

Try the guys at 6Speed online discussion board. We love to work on our cars on this side of the pond smile

Ok, maybe not love, yet considering the many problems of the Bentley we find ourselves helping one another to fix known problems.

Hi

I had the same problem on my gt, replaced the button with one from ebay that was in new condition. It was quite simple and happy to help. You need to remove the top grille being very careful not to damage the leather, remove the centre piece that covers the radio, being careful not to damage the veneer, then remove the trim around the gear knob , pull up the centre console cover, unscrew the switch and replace. Took about an hour taking your time.
