Hi folk's

I've just taken up a new position at a Funeral directors. Part of my things to do, are the weekly checks on the cars. Two Rolls Royce limousines, the six seater ones and two hearse.
These are based on RR Silver Spirit mark 2's. However I am at a loss as to what the tyre pressures should be.
Any help would be appreciated.

I Don't wish to be facetious but surely it will depend on the weight of the body!!!!!

I don't mean to be facetious either, but don't worry if the ride is a little too firm, your passenger is unlikely to complain smile

Not had any complaints yet, but it does seem strange when you chat with the passengers and they don't ever chat back.

Joking aside these vehicles have been much adapted which will affect the weight and therefore the pressures.

In a previous life I was an accountant and I had an undertaker client who had a hearse constructed on a Citroen Safari body. He told me that when he arrived at the crematorium and removed the coffin the hydro pneumatic suspension settled. He said it was wonderful, even the hearse was sighing!

WelshBentleyboy,

That is true, these are 'conway' conversions. We have to let the cars run for a short while, to let the suspension rise, before moving them. Apart from the extra length they are nice to drive, just don't go for any of the spirited stuff. they are not turbo R's.

I had 3 Citroen CX models from new and they were great cars particularly the CX GTI which you could fling about a bit. I appreciate that it would be difficult with a hearse. Be like the old joke "have you got anything to stop my coughing"!!
