Hi,

I'm thinking of replacing my 2008 GT Speed next year when the factory warranty expires.

For a like-for-like newer replacement from a main dealer am I better off selling privately and turning up with cash or simply part-exchanging?

I know what the general school of thought is in most cases (cash is king) but I'm particularly interested in replies from people who have actually swapped a Bentley and\or compared the two options.

My car is immaculate, low miles, ceramic brakes etc.

Thanks

In a strictly monetary sense, I'd imagine you're better off selling it yourself.

But I subscribe to the notion that if money doesn't make your life easier, then what is it for?

I traded mine in.

Cheers,
Jeff.

Private sale your car generally gives you a higher price than trade-in at a dealer. Some dealers may 'work the numbers' to give you the appearance of a higher trade-in value, yet discount the car you're buying less. It's a numbers game.
