What do you make of the following, want a GT but not lose too much in a short while I want to own one..

Why wouldn't you buy an older one if you don't want to lose much? Unless there's problems with the older ones that are not apparent on a 2011 model?

Not so au fait with Bentley prices, but if this one is cheap it might be because it appears someone has parked it in a pond... http://www.tomhartley.com/used/2011/bentley/contin...

On the face of it looks to be a low price because of its unusually high mileage. Good external colour and facelift as you say OP. Not sure about the wood trim colour. Does it have a Bentley Warranty - maybe important at that age. Tom Hartley doesn't tend to deal with rubbish so maybe worth a look. Only a guess but if you bought it, ran it for 12 months and added another 10,000 miles, I would guess that the trade might bid you £45,000. Can you live with that level of depreciation?
I just paid £92,500 for a Sep 2013 W12 with 1,800 miles. Loving it.

That's very keenly priced, most probably due to the mileage.http://www.tomhartley.com/used/2011/bentley/contin...
Do check that it will quality for the approved warranty scheme before proceeding.

They're all lovely cars. Amazing how much more a facelift model costs over a less used, older model! Those goofy photographs of the car on the pond though...
Yes, the water snaps are becoming a cliche but TH. has good reputation, at this end of the market ( way above my head) It seems very likely that anything a little doubtful would be "passed on".Aeroresh said:
Its the mileage thats making it appear cheap.
Great if you want a cheap purchase but bear in mind you'll have to sell it cheap if only keeping it a short while.
Yes, buy cheap sell cheap (relative) but it's a sad comment if 64k is "high" for a 5 or 6 year old car Would not apply to mainstream stuff, though you might just raise an eyebrow. Just this mean that. Bentley is entering the world of Ferrari and super cars where you can do what you like with your beautiful beast......except drive it?Great if you want a cheap purchase but bear in mind you'll have to sell it cheap if only keeping it a short while.

I know but the market is so small for these cars, they are especially mileage and condition sensitive. Id say its still a better situation then doing a similar mileage in an equivelant Ferrari or Aston.....you really would have your pants pulled down for doing any more than 5k miles PA.
The Hartleys, Tom and Junior have a good reputation at the high end of the market, but remember, they still have to make a margin....
Personally I find the Flying Spur to be better than the GT's, very close if performance terms, 4 doors, so proper space for 4 people, better looking by far- people are amazed that such a big car can accelerate, so swiftly.
I have had 2 Spurs, 1 in 2009 and 1 in 2015, having said that I prefer my Brooklands for the coach built qualities, but then I am tad biased - -

Agree that Hartleys are too experienced to compromise. Most interesting is your comment that you prefer the coach built stuff. Conventional wisdom, possibly wrong, would say that "posh VW" is more reliable than the hand made stuff. Naturally, switches from mainstream cars don't help.Personally I find the Flying Spur to be better than the GT's, very close if performance terms, 4 doors, so proper space for 4 people, better looking by far- people are amazed that such a big car can accelerate, so swiftly.

Morrocan Blue is a poor colour for resale, so you maybe better with a more conventional colour
I really like the colour. When you say conventional, are we talking black white or silver/grey here? I dont know much about the trade at this level but Id hope people in this market would be less likely to follow the crowd and go with regular stuff.....says he with a white one!Gassing Station | Bentley & Rolls Royce | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
