Key needs to be within 1.5 metres of car.

You would have to park fairly close to your keys when they are in the house to allow the cars to be opened, started and run.

Or you would have to leave your keys with the car.........

Am sure you read the article so know that by using a few hundred dollars in electronics it amplifies your FOBs signal.... and so FOB in home gets amplified a good distance.
