My GT has dead battery's and I can't get the boot open due to that. To my horror the manual opener at the back of the rear seat is absent and the internal handel isnt working either!

Any thoughts?

Many thanks.

Its a long time since we had our continental, but are both batteries flat? I seem to recall that inserting the key and turning it to the left (Anti Clockwise) let the car start on the 2nd battery

This may sound brutal but if there is no handle in the inside of the boot which could be operated through the Ski hatch in the rear seat. Get a credit card or something similar and put against the paint to protect it by the rear light ( passenger side ) then using a paint scraper or similar gently work round the rear light prizing it forward ( it sits on small pegs ) till you are able to remove the rear light. Then you will see the battery which sits just behind the light.
Good Luck

I'm going to try and charge it via the fag lighter but if that fails it's the Hatton Garden approach on the light!

Many thanks for the tip!

Buy a CTEK battery charger with the supply function and plug in cig lighter, this will give you 12v supply to open the boot.
