I was reading about the old L-series V8 on Wikipedia earlier, and reference was made to a pair of experimental V8s Rolls-Royce came up with in the late 1980s, one of which was designated N80 and had a displacement of 5 litres, and there was an N81 6-litre variant. Can anyone shed any light on these? Apparently the project was cancelled in 1991.

IIRC, at the RREC HQ at Hunt House they have several 'what could have been' engines i think one was a 4 cam version, but if there are an members nearby who could pop in and check it might help
