Hi guys n girls, we came across another GT near Brooklands recently (black, black wheels and glass), it looked lovely but the thing that stood out was it was much lower than ours and really looked great. Could it have been a GT Speed? are they lower. Has anyone here had experience of lowered Conti's. Many thanks.

I have had my GT lowered since buying it 3 years ago and i used and fitted myself the adjustable links so you can set your own ride height. Have a look on ebay they are readily available and can be fitted within an hour on your drive.

The GT Speed is lower by around 10mm I believe, plus on my 2008 Speed I have factory fitted adjustable ride height which I think is also a Mulliner option.

Thanks guys.
Gary, has that made the ride harsher throughout the settings?

I've just had a look, the thing that's concerning me is the effect of poor adjustment. I used to race bikes and know how much a bike can be improved but also turned into something that would be out handled by a shopping trolley by simply twiddling a couple of adjusters. I take it you need a very flat floor and take measurements to something like the wheel arch before and after ?
