Hello all. Recently joined the fold with a 2008 GT Speed, fantastic car. Just one problem - phone option reading "telephone not available" in main screen, and "temporarily not available" in instrument cluster screen. None of the buttons are operational, so pair new device won't work. I've searched around and don't see anyone solving the problem. Closest I got was a Phaeton owner discovering it was a Bluetooth unit failure, and a VW vid on YouTube showing how to reset the unit by unplugging it under the passenger seat.

I'd rather try this before going down a more expensive route, or full reset by disconnecting battery! Could anyone point me in the right direction for where the unit is? Is it one of a dozen or so connections under the passenger seat?

Any other suggestions appreciated!

Go to the Bentley Motors website and find the Bluetooth Guide. Put in your model and VIN and it will tell you which phones are compatible with your car. Chances are your phone is not on the list.

Thanks. I should have been clearer before, the button to start the whole pairing process doesn't bring up anything / won't work. None of the telephone settings at all will come up. Unless you're saying that none of them will operate unless there's a phone in range that it suspects it could pair with?

I'll have a look as you suggest anyway to see if this will ultimately be futile anyway! Thanks for response.

None of the modern phones will pair.Bentley have a kit costs a fortune and don't gaurantee it will work.Simplest is to buy a visor unit!

Just out of interest what's the phone? I've recently bought a 2009 model Speed and have managed to pair my Galaxy S4, not managed to download contacts but it's early days yet.

Rob, your phone is one of the rare ones with rSAP. Many no longer support rSAP communication.

I had a play with Bluetooth this morning. I loaded all my contacts from my Galaxy S4 with no issues (2009 GT Speed). All the dialling functions work OK too.
