Another Conti GT Question
Discussion
Sorry guys, I've just bought a GT Speed and have no-one else to ask.
The 12v socket in the boot, can that be used to plug a trickle charger into or do I need to get a separate charger\conditioner socket installed?
If I do need a separate socket installed is it just the left hand battery that would be connected so for now could I just fit a CTEK Plug in connector like this until I can stump up the readies for Bentley to do it properly?
Thank you.

If you look up under the left hand side of the boot lid when it is shut, you will see that there is a small boxed hole where the Ctek plug plug fits inside and is held in place by magnetic contact. So you do not have to have the boot lid open or the wire crushed if you shut the lid.
I thought this charging point was standard on all Speeds but could be wrong.
The charger which Bentley supply/sell is a Ctek MX10 but has this rather special plug hard wired on to it and I don't see it as an add-on extra on the Ctek website.

I have a Ctek and simply put the Crocodile clips onto the main, left hand side, battery.
I do have the proper female connector in the boot but don't have the male part. I'm sure I read somewhere that they are available from a non OEM supplier but I can't remember the name of said part.

Thanks. so you don't disconnect the battery? Do you close the boot, lock the car etc? If you do close the boot what do you do about the mains cable?
