Iphone music Fixed cheaper than dice

Hi All

Had my 2004 GT for a few months now and love it but the lack of Iphone/ipod music was annoying me.

My friend is an audio geek and has supplied me some cables and a unit for the back of the cd changer which
now gives me an aux port for my Iphone/ipod and I can play all the music and hear calls from the car speakers.
The volume works off the steering wheel as normal and the quality is superb.



Works like a treat in my car and now I have all my songs to hand, just goes straight in where the cd changer unit plugged in.

Sounds to me like he has an adapter to hook into the analog output line of the 6-disc changer. Can you still use the changer too?

No the changer comes out and the little box just plugs in.

Ideal for me as I dont have any CD's lol

Ahh ok, so it is just a plug adapter, stereo wire and line out jack. Why is he asking so much when the parts cost about £15? Is he using Kimber Kable 100% silver wire or ???

I really dont have a clue, I just was happy as it was cheaper than the dice unit

True it is less $. i'll ask my car audio friends to send me the pin out schematics of the changer so those with the ability can easily make their own. Great idea plus then we can choose the quality of parts we want to make one

Note that the DICE uses the digital out and has a far better DAC than that within the Apple device. Of course this simple adapter into the analog input of the Bentley system allows you to use an Astell&Kern AK240 for true high resolution audio
