If I remember correctly the grill was changed in 2006/7, introduced by the "Speed" version, right?

I've just remembered that 2008 in the states would be 2007 to us, so you may well be correct.

Now I know what I am looking for - the 2008 mini facelift with the revised front. I think the new grill and the chrome headlight surrounds make a difference. The pre-2008 version looks a bit too plain.
