Ok, I work for a chauffeur company so every single day I have to drive people up and down the country in complete luxury. But out of the huge amount of cars I can choose to drive, I always go for a Phantom. There's just a sense of sheer pleasure and its such an occasion every day I open those doors. As soon as you push your foot on the floor, you just get pushed back and hear that V12 whoosh you into hyperspace. I love the way its rides, oh so smooth!

Pros:
Attention to detail
Loads of power
Incredible ride comfort
Gadgetry

Cons:
Suspension roll
Steers slightly too slow
Below standard computer interface
Tyre noise

Interesting that you list the gadgetry as part of the pros, I've run two of them now as my own car a 2011 DHC which has just been replaced with a 2014 series II DHC and I would say they are relatively gadget free, nice and simple, if you think the computer interface is below par the series I cars were 1990's BMW, so the series II is a revelation !!

I can see your point about tyre noise, however as everything else is so quite I think it really shows up the tyres, but all in a hushed experience !!

You should try driving a P6. A few hours in one of those and you'll wake up in the middle of the night shaking and covered in sweat. A true nightmare driving experience that you never look forward to and take ages to forget.

Perhaps some of the character of the P6 was built into its replacement.
