Anyone have any more to add to this info received from my dealer?

Advance Notice - Limited Edition Continental GT3-R

On 25th May 2014, the M-Sport Bentley Continental GT3 (above) wrote a new page of Bentley history with a stunning victory at Silverstone. Bentley Boys Guy Smith, Andy Meyrick and Steven Kane took the racing Bentley to a maiden victory – the first on home turf by a works Bentley team in 84 years.

For lovers of fast Bentleys the good news doesn’t end there. It seems that Bentley’s designers and engineers have been inspired by the race car to produce a new road-going Continental, with driver-focused performance parameters, unique exterior and interior design and a 2-seat cabin.

It’ll share the 4.0 litre V8 engine format and the chassis has been honed with help from the M-Sport professional drivers, so it should be a thrilling drive. Obviously an out-and-out race car would be undriveable on the road, and Bentley has assured us that the GT3-R (for ‘Road’) will still be able to grand tour like a Bentley should (but perhaps a little quicker).

The GT3-R is only going to be produced in limited numbers.

I have heard that there will only be 2 cars allocated per dealership in the UK and all of these have been sold already.

Should be at Goodwood at the end of the month for a first showing.
