Anyone know what sort of lubrication should be used on the window winding mechanism? - cable and pillar. This is in the Continental R, and I'm not sure whether the design is the same as the 4 door cars - but there is a central pillar which the frame for the glass runs up and down and it has a nylon bush. it's currently dry of lubrication.

I currently have the trim off and thought it was worth doing before putting it back together.

Here is an illustration. Unfortunately, I cant find anything in the workshop manual about lubrication specification (although it's probably in there somewhere, bit of a needle in a haystack).

If it is currently dry, with no trace of any lubricant, then I would guess that perhaps none was deemed necessary for a guide. If in doubt I'm sure copious quantities of white lithium grease would have been used without any mechanic thinking twice.
