Silver Spur losing brake fluid

Hello

i'm writing here on behalf of my father who's 1996 Silver Spur is losing brake fluid.

He was told by his mechanic that the problem is with its management system - that it is (incorrectly) thinking that there was too much fluid in the reservoir and is actively draining some out???

It sounded a bit odd to me - but not beyond the realms of possibility I guess.

Does anyone know if such a system exists on the Silver Spur?
If so are there any common failure modes - parts that should be replaced?
If not, where are the common areas (under the bonnet) for brake fluid to leak?


Any ideas or advice will be greatly appreciated.

I have searched the internet and not found any evidnece of such a system and it did seem pretty far fetched. nice to get my concenrs confirmed by your comment. Appreciate it.

Far more likely you have a simple old-fashioned leak!
