Parking sensor fault?

Every time I slow down in my GT (e.g. pulling up to a junction) a single "beep" is heard. Nothing is shown on the display, just one single audible beep. The dealers say it could be a fault with the parking sensors. Can anyone expand on this or has had experience of this?

My car is having the exact same PDC problem as you described. Did you find a fix ? Feedback will be greatly apreticated.

Also interested - I test drove a car which did this. Moved on for other reasons but remain intrigued...
