Hi all,
I'm new to all things Bentley but seriously considering a 2010 GTC.
Currently have a 5.0 V8 Range Rover Autobiography which is an awesome car but I fancy going back to something sporty (and soft top).
Previously I have had Mercs and Porsches but I got the RR after having an Aston DB9 so I am used to the pain of servicing costs, lousy MPG etc!
I will be doing around 10k miles per year, mostly motorways.
A couple of questions if anyone can help -
Any possible issues I should look out for on the 2010 MY?
Have heard a few comments about battery life. I won't be using the car daily but every 7 days or so - will this be an issue?
And lastly, how do other road users perceive people in a Bentley GTC? I found that people had a lot of respect for the Aston but RR and Porsche drivers much less so. Are you perceived as some sort of 'flash Harry' or more someone with good taste who drives a strong British brand. I think of the latter!
Thanks in advance.

On this side of the pond (USA) my observations are that the Bentley GTC gets far more respect on the streets than the Aston Martin. Since UK footballers are completely unknown here, the Bentley is the hot ticket due to singers/musicians and public figures showing up in their Bentley cars at events and in various music videos.
Prob best to get a trickle charger for it. I believe they are wired for it in boot.
Not uncommon for the battery to discharge due to current draw for alarm etc.
Our MD has one of same vintage & it has been a paragon of virtue for the year he has owned it, unlike his Arnage T.
My only complaint is the hernia inducing wind deflector. 2 man job to fit & total loss of rear seat use for passengers when fitted.
Hope you are buying from a Bentley dealer as then you should get manufacturer warranty that you can renew after the 1st year. May be worth asking if it can be for more than 1 year when you deal.
Good luck with your search.
