My 07 Continental GTC is due an annual service according to the dash, can anyone recommend an independent near Derby?

Also, the thing only just started today and threw up all sorts of errors, all OK now after a long run, but it reminds me I ought to get it on a charger.

It's got the socket in the boot, anyone know what make / type the plug is so I can stick one on my Ctek charger?

Many thanks.

I have a 2002 Arnage. I think the charging plugs are all the same. I bought the one that is needed and fitted it on the Ctek. Anyway, here is a link. You might just find what you need. Don't forget to order the strain relief as well as the pins.

You're very welcome, Bertie; it does work like a charm and is inexpensive.

Is there any reason not to use the cigarette lighter accessory socket in the boot?

Seems to be permanently powered?

Is it direct wired? Or will it back feed the body control ECU?

If the socket you talk about is indeed a cigar lighter socket, and it is factory equipment, then it definitely is hard wired and charges the left battery first and then automatically the right one (the starting battery). Your Ctek takes care of that most admirably.

I was told earlier today by Bentley that it back feeds the body control ECU and keeps one of the CAN networks up so is not a good idea.

I got the plug from Farnell this morning so it's on with the dedicated plug.

Thanks
