1 Bentleys around 1980s to 1990-Do the front windows go down all the way to or below the window sill, or (as I think I saw) remain raised above the sill maybe a couple of inches.
2. Longer distance driving- how do you protect the front paintwork/grille against insects/stone chips etc?

PS Best wishes to Waffagolf from Downunder.

My Continental ones go all the way down. But 4 door cars may be different, I dont know.

The only way to really protect against stone chips would be probably one of those tailored covers or some sort of clear wrap like this:

I have an idea that my Turbo R windows did not go all the way down. As for chips/bugs on the front - that's just life, just keep it clean and, every few years, have a professional deal with any chips. Better that than covering it in anyway.

On my 1991 Turbo R they remain about half inch above the wooden door trim. My guess it was to stop people driving around with their arm out of the window smile
