We've just picked up a 2004 Conti GT and I have spent the last hour scratching my head over the car's "privacy" phone.

The car has the Bury privacy unit, but I don't know how to link it up to my iPhone - if someone could shed some light on this technophobe, it would be very much appreciated!

iPhones and bentleys don't mix until a few years ago. The earlier ones use the rSap concept which iPhones don't, just stick a SIM card in and give the car it's own number.

Separate SIM is a good idea or you can update the phone system for around 2k and then it may work with the iPhone.

Hi

If you are in the UK on orange you can have a 2nd identical sim for £3/month. Fits in the car and when the car is on calls are automatically forwarded using your mobile number. When you switch your car off it goes back to the mobile. The service isn't well known but is called 'one number'

Works a treat.

Blimey, I completely forgot about this, sorry guys!

Thanks for the replies, I think it's going into Bentley to have a new bluetooth system put in from the newer models so it will be iPhone compatible etc... It's a fair bit of money to get done, but it's cheaper than a full set of new tyres and it gets used every day so it's kind of important.
