Arnage SatNav map update

I have a 2002 Arnage T which I bought with the original Alpine NVE55 Sat Nav. The maps were the original and way out of date. I managed to update it to an NVE099P but the maps were still 2007 and no longer updated by Alpine.
Following a trip to France this year when the old maps sent me through the middle of Lyon when there was a brand new Motorway going round the outside, I decided action was called for!!
The answer is an Alpine NVE300P which will work with the Arnage's screen via a separate remote control and can be updated with the latest maps over the net at about £60. I had a bit of trouble updating the maps but the Alpine technical department were absolutely brilliant and sorted all the problems. The system is great apart from the female voice which tells you that you are speeding in a most admonitory voice, but I have worked out how to turn her off!!
