Bentley S2 Continental 2 Door - one of the best looking?
Discussion
I have always thought this is one of the best looking Continentals, the S2 Continental 2 Door with coachwork by HJ Mulliner. Only 71 RHD cars were made. Whilst the earlier R-Type continental gets a lot of attention, these has the advantage of having the V8 and I think I prefer the back over the fastback of the R-Type.

My father owned one until about 1976 (so I'm a bit biased) - wish he hadn't sold it!!! (and replaced it with a Citroen CX!!!!)
EDIT - just reading the description on that link, I think this might actually be my father's old car!!

I was only a toddler at the time - apparently the CX suffered from a string of problems. But for some reason my parents went on to buy only Citroens for years after. If I remember rightly, we had at least 3 Citroen GS, a Visa, and 4 BX, until 1993 when a 4L Jeep Cherokee replaced the last BX, a "TZD Turbo"
I have childhood memories just full of Citroens.
How safety standards have changed - mother was telling me that apparently I sat in my child seat in the back of that Bentley - no seat belts. I don't know how the child seat stayed where it was, I guess there must have been some sort of restraint. But I seem to remember rear seat belts didn't become universally fitted in cars generally until some point in the 80's.
But that Bentley was the daily driver, and it went everywhere. At the time my father was MD of a bicycle manufacturing company near Birmingham, a Pig farm in North Shropshire and a running a sheep farm on the Isle of Islay in Scotland - on that web page the auctioneers suggest the mileage may be 127,000, rather than 27,000 on the clock - I would be pretty confident in it being the higher figure!
Unfortunately, the times got tough and this was the reason for the move from Bentley to Citroen. A new T2 Bentley was on order, but this got cancelled!
