GTC rough idle

I recently went away for the weekend in my 57 plate GTC and on the way back at some traffic lights near to my house I noticed the car was idling slightly rough. Later on when driving the car again it drove fine but when stationary it would idle rough and the check engine light started to flash. As soon as I pulled off the car was fine and the light would go out.

Anyone have this before?

Probably bad petrol, there seems to be some of that going around recently according to my mechanic. Could also be the coil ignition wires, but doubtful if the car is properly serviced as many years ago they had a bad batch of those. If she runs fine now, my guess would be petrol problem. I added some Chevron Techron Concentrate Plus Fuel System Cleaner and filled the tank.

Mine had something very similar recently...felt as if the engine was choking at idle and struggling to keep the revs.
The problem was traced to a faulty solenoid sensor on one of the turbos and the air flow filter. Cost about 850 to put right, but most of that was labor costs in trying to reach one of the turbos.
