Just taken possession of my new Arnage T. Absolutely delighted apart from a jerkiness on the throttle at very low speed. Is this the nature of the beast as the dealer says or something that can be tweaked.

I think I have solved the problem. The car has a full set of sheepskin rugs. They are so thick that on the drivers side they must have been pressing on the accelerator. I took them out and it improved the situation. It must have been affecting the throttle control sensor. Bring back the days of a good old fashioned throttle cable!

Hi.i had an Arnage T late 2003.all the pre 2007 cars suffer with a very light throttle. in 2007 the 6-speed gearbox arrived and the problem is better.on the earlier cars sometimes pulling away from standstill can be jerky.you have to remember to feather the throttle until rolling. \this and the too hard suspension spoil the car in my opinion. The Arnage R is a better all round car but the T has the image. Harry.

With the sheepskin rug out I can now properly control the throttle at all speeds. I appreciate that the "R" might be a smoother machine but I would rather have the extra 50BHP and proportionate performance. I had not even been aware of any firmness in the ride which is exactly what I would expect to match the power output. I had a Continental R Mulliner with 420BHP before and there is no difference in the ride although in the middle ranges the torque on the Arnage T is appreciably greater. I am off to Mid Wales with the RREC this weekend so I will see how it goes then.

Problem solved!! AS part of the installation and initialisation of a Sat Nav I had to disconnect the batteries for a time. This had the effect of resetting the drive by wire throttle control. It is now far smoother and much more controllable.
