Hi All,

I've got a 2006 Bentley Arnage T and noticed that the boot lid no longer stays up. I have been told that the boot gas damper is shot.

Has anyone done this job themselves and if yes, is there any advice / guide you can point me towards? Is there one or two dampers?

I'm reaonably handy with a spanner but normally try to get my hands on a workshop manual before taking anything apart but can't seem to find anything online for my car.

I had this job done on a 2003 car, from memory there are four dampers, two each side, I had a factory trained tech do mine who obviously knew what he was doing but he seemed to do it with ease in less than half an hour. I think the parts were less than £100.

Straight forward job. The exact specification will be stamped on the original gas struts and a quick internet search will locate them. Easy fit! They cost me about £110 for a pair
