Crappy mobile phone camera in the rain at dusk today, I'm afraid.
I did gather the guy had only bought it the day before and that it had had a 4.5 transplanted into what originally was a 3 litre.
I couldn't hang around very long as it was cold, wet and my dog was starting to shiver.
Can anyone identify it further?

That registration is not listed in Michael Hays BENTLEY the vintage years 1919-1931

Is it a modern copy?

Interesting info here:

https://www.taxdisc.direct.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/app...

4400cc yet it's a 3 litre chassis?

Has to be a modern renovation on an old chassis

What detectives there are on PH !
I wouldn't have had a clue how to start searching for that info. Thanks.

It's on part of a local estate I don't normally walk the dog but I might again, just in case it's out. It sounded lovely.

BF 5058 is listed by the BDC as living in Flecknoe, Warwickshire. It is said to be a 3 litre body fitted with a 4.5 litre engine. Looks like it has changed hands if it is now in Yately.

Strange it's not in the hay book, the re-registration in 2009 would possibly cause that.

It's a cracking car

maybe the hay book hasnt listed every car which existed, as there will always (sic) be new ones discovered
maybe when the new engine was fitted, the dvla decided it needed a new reg number??
