Plate could return c.£1k and after a little haggle you have a £3.5k barge. Man maths rules.....

I know it could cost twice that in getting together but if it checks out ......

Good points:
- Apparently no rust on body/v.little undernereath.
- Everything works allegedly(?!);
- comes with V5 and MOT's

Downsides:
- scratch(es) down passenger door(s);
- looks like veneer has peeled around some of the dials;
- dealer has just lost all the paperwork/history rolleyes

Having scratched the Jag itch last summer is this an itch too far me thinks?

Lost the paperwork? Likely story!

Seems like a tidy car. Its hard to tell but the steering seems to have wear on it, more than should be there with the mileage.

I think we may know this car from some years ago, Lost history is unusual but if the dealer is transparent they should allow you to contact the last owner who would be able fill in recent work and the RREC can help with the early history.

As far as I can see, good colour combination yet the shade of green is not everyones taste, mileage is probably real, it has the wrong size avon tyres and needs a few tweaks etc but is £5k for an injection Turbo R they don't come much cheaper!

.............You will probably spend more on your summer holiday

However If you want possibly the best I have seen on the market speak to Warren ( Balmoral) on here as I think his may be for sale

Well for that money you get a scratched car with no history and peeling wood. Fixing the wood costs more than the car itself.

A car like this is like a 99 GBP package holiday by coach to St Tropez, dining at McDonalds. Yes, you have been to the Cote, but....

Still prefer St Trop. to Pontins at that price...

(if I could afford to fly I would be buying Balmorals but I was planning on hitchhiking back.....)

I forgot to ask - didn't the twin round headlamps come in in 1988 - this is an 87 car - did many cars get converted?

Gawd you guys get these cars cheap over there. A banger Turbo R here is still $10-12K USD THEN another $5K to at least put it in decent order...

fairly sure the wood isn't that expensive to remedy. Joe Crabtree does a good job I'm told. Search for atomicpunk's posts
