Early Bentley GT? Advice and help appreciated
Discussion
Morning Everyone, a friend of mine is after a Bentley GT. I don’t know too much about them so thought best to ask here.
He’s said these are things he’d ideally like on them. Which of these are standard & which of these are optional? He also said ideally he’d fancy a Mulliner which from my limited knowledge on GTs means he’s looking at 05 cars or later, is that correct?
• Rear Parking Sensors
• Heated Seats
• Cruise Control
• Bluetooth
• Reversing Camera
• Front parking Sensors
• Ipod/Aux Connection
• Keyless Start
• Massaging Seats
• Coming Home Controls (Garage/Electronic Gate Opener)
Lastly, obviously running costs will be high, but apart from servicing & fuel should it be reasonably reliable?
Thanks

If your friend can afford it, buy a car from a main dealer with the middle/top level of Bentley wty....they apparently do 3 though the lowest isn't obviously the one to go for. Apparently a new clock is over £2k fitted and another example is that the high level brake light is £700 though all are main dealer costs. They have just extended the wty eligibility upto cars 10 yrs old I am told subject to T&Cs.
My friend has owned his 04 GT for 12 months having bought it with full main dealer history & 34k miles. Other than an issue with the batteries caused initially by not using it enough & recently the aforementioned brake light (to be dealt with under wty), it has been no problem.
IMO they almost defy the laws of physics & can be real VFM if you buy 'right'...he paid £36k from a main dealer 1 year ago for a 2 owner car. Main dealers will also negotiate on service costs if you try them
