I am wanting to refurb a set of Arnage T split rim alloys. The Bentley main dealer has said that once these rims are split they cannot be reassembled and are effectively scrap. This all seems a bit extreme. Can anybody out there give me some skilled advice on this issue?

We had a 2008 Arnage T with the 5 spoke split rims, and the dealers parting comment when we collected the car was don't Kerb the wheels as it near impossible to refurbish them......

I worked for a main dealer and when the split rims first came out the workshop dismantled one and it ended up being scraped. That said I had a set of 19" split rim T wheels refurbished a few years ago where they took the wheels apart, some of the bolts were broken and the replacements had to come from Germany, it took ages and the finished items weren't brilliant. They were 05 model year ones with what appeared to be a polished finish which was actually painted and as they were all the same it probably didn't matter, but they looked nothing like the originals. It was a company in the East Midlands who did them, it wasn't cheap, about £600/700 from memory for the four,if you want their details I may be able to dig them out but I'm not sure I'd give them a glowing reference.

There's no issue with refurbing split rims of any sort, Bentley or otherwise.

Lepsons can do them, as can a number of other decent repairers.
