RREC Annual Rally.Any Good Nowadays?Anyone Going?
Discussion
It's been a long time since I last went(probably 10 years),but I've got the itch for a Shadow 2 again and regained an interest in Rolls Royce/Bentley models,so I'm considering a trip to the annual rally next Saturday.
The last time I went the entry fee was extortionate, there were only a handful of nice mint examples of the 1970,s/80's cars I was interested in and the brass band kept on playing 'Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines' over and over again which became quite annoying after a while.
Has anything changed or will I be underwhelmed by the experience again and wonder why I made the 300 mile round trip?

The last....
It's been a few years since I last went, but I'm planning to make it along sometime during the weekend. Suspect it will be much as you describe it a decade ago, but I still enjoy the enormous number and variety of RR&B cars in attendance. The last....
Cheers,
Andy
Didn't RR purposely make 'Emily' out of stainless steel so as to discourage gold plating? Either that or I thought I heard they officially made the statement that it was not to their wishes for customers to gold-ify her? Anyhow, seen more than a one of 'em that way.
Here's my Shad II, BTW
